Ossicles
The ossicles reside in the middle ear, where they are responsible for sound conduction. They articulate with each other via synovial joints.
 
Prussak’s Space
Prussak’s space * is well seen on this image, limited by the lateral mallear ligament, pars flaccida of the tympanic membrane, mallear neck and lateral process.

Prussak’s space * opens posteriorly into the epitympanum and is the most common site of acquired attic cholesteatoma.
